WALL PIECE MASK
Woodfired ceramics, copper
23 x 33 cm
This object was created as part of an exploration into the concept of ritualizing art and the search for identity. It reflects on how we often hide our emotions and how this concealment can ultimately erode our sense of self. Through this work, we engage in a search for meaning, presenting a poignant representation of the fragmentation of identity.
The mask was wood-fired in a Japanese kiln for several days, resulting in unique impressions of fire and ash.
